Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our QA team. You will be responsible for ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability before they reach our users.

As a Software Test Engineer, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to identify bugs, create test strategies, and maintain test environments. If you are passionate about breaking things in order to make them better, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications

Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve software defects early in the development cycle

Perform regression, integration, system, performance, and acceptance testing

Document and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)

Develop and maintain test plans, test scripts, and test data

Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and testing frameworks

Ensure compliance with QA standards and best practices

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Proven experience as a QA Engineer or Software Test Engineer

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes

Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman)

Familiarity with BDD/TDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG)

Experience testing web applications, APIs, and mobile applications is a plus

Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills and team collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)

Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)

ISTQB certification or other relevant QA certifications
